VIVAnews - Opera announced report of its new Mobile Web software, Opera Mini, which has now been used by 35 million users of mobile device worldwide.
The application processes data by 2 petabyte per month. Compared to using conventional browser, the Opera Mini users save Rp 75 trillion per year.
Due to the fact that the application can compress data by 90 percent, a webpage of 100 KB is squeezed to 10 KB when being accessed from mobile handset.
As quoted by VIVAnews from Opera's press release, Oct 29, Indonesia is listed 10 top Opera Mini users. The archipelago is only behind Russia, which has the largest Opera Mini users.
The list is as follows: Russia, Indonesia, India, China, Ukraine, South Africa, USA, UK, Poland and Vietnam.
Compared to September 2008, the Opera Mini has browsed more webpages, of which percentage rises by 429.1 percent, while the amount of users increases 217.9 percent. In total, Opera Mini users in Indonesia have accessed 661 webpages per month.
