VIVAnews - “Microbrain” from Binus Center, Kedoya, which consists of Hendra Suwardy and Johanes, has won the Indonesia NetRiders Skills Competition 2009 held by the Cisco Networking Academy Program.
This year, Microbrain beat out 250 other contestants who were divided into 125 groups.
“At the Indonesia NetRiders Skills Competition, which has been held for six times, promising talents that could establish global careers have been acquired,” Cisco Indonesia Managing Director, Sanjay Rohatgi says in a press release quoted by VIVAnews on November 3.
“Cisco is proud to be able to participate in finding these talents who are expected to encourage other potentials in Indonesia that are geographically scattered,” Rohatgi says.
Indonesia NetRiders Skills is a competition to assess the skills and qualifications of Cisco Networking Academy students. Assessed fields include designs, configurations, developments and computer hardware maintenance which are encompassed in Cisco Networking Academy’s curriculum.
The competition aims to stimulate and increase the skills of the students in designing, maintaining and solving networking problems.
It is also expected that the competition would create opportunities for the students and instructors to be able to interact in boosting the quality of Cisco Networking Academy.
As the winner of the competition, Microbrain is entitled to receive cash and a wireless route from Linksys by Cisco. The group would automatically represent Indonesia in competing against other contestants from Asia Pacific at the Asia Pacific NetRiders 2009 which would be held online on October 29, 2009 via Cisco WebEx.
