VIVAnews - The Indonesian government will intensify efforts on illegal logging eradication as a support toward environment advancement and global warming prevention.
"Indonesia will help anticipate global warming," said Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono in Jakarta on Thursday, Nov 5.
He vowed that Indonesia in the future will implement better forest management. Among the attempts are intensifying illegal logging, preventing land clearing by burning forest as well as shutting out forest fire.
In addition, Mr Yudhoyono emphasized that as an archipelago, Indonesia will retain the functions of waters and coral reefs.
