VIVAnews - Juniper Networks presents its new vision on so-called futuristic network. In doing so, they are employing four strategies which are new software platforms, new silicon for 3D scaling, latest product portfolios and data centers that are more likely to be cloud computing.

“In terms of software, Juniper has enhanced open standard software platform portfolio,“ Juniper Networks Indonesia Country Manager, Ronny Sumantri, said at a press conference in Jakarta on November 4. “In addition to Junos, Junos Space, which is the platform of network application, and Junos Pulse, which is an on-set unified network client, Juniper is now offering more choices for the developers,” he said.

With the latest processor and chip-set planted on Juniper’s new router, the network’s capacity could now be easily upgraded. “The users don’t need to buy a new chassis,” Juniper Networks Indonesia Senior Technical Consultant, Mochammad Irzan said. “To increase the network’s throughput network, all the users have to do is plugging in a network card that has a chip-set on and Juniper’s new processor. That way, the throughput could be more than 2 Terabyte per second,” he said.

The latest processor and chipset are available in various models of MX series routers by Juniper. The examples are MX 3D and MX 80 Router that have four times bigger capacity than their competitors and are able to continuously save energy.

“Besides the hardware, software and solutions mentioned earlier, we have also expanded out data center to cloud initiative,“ Sumantri said. “Built on simplified data center network architecture, we are trying to help the customers sharing and securing their infrastructure.”

“The users from enterprises and telecommunication industry, who are the target of Juniper’s latest technology, could use our services,” Sumantri said. “Medium-level companies that have branch offices which are connected to each other could also utilize the service.”
