VIVAnews – In the midst of the high inter-operator competition of BlackBerry service providers in Indonesia, PT Excelcomindo Pratama (XL) claimed that their service has been used by 200,000 users as of Nov. 8, 2009, albeit the number was set as the year-end target.
“The [target] achievement is a strategic moment for XL to establish the company’s position as the foremost telecommunication service provider, which includes BlackBerry,” said XL President Director Hasnul Suhaemi in a press release on Nov. 11.
The high number of costumers is the cause of a variety of marketing programs aimed at XL BlackBerry, which includes various options of BlackBerry devices that can be purchased by installments in cooperation with private banks.
“BlackBerry One program with a daily tariff of Rp 5,000, which is valid until Dec. 31, is the main program,” said Suhaemi. “The program greatly boosts number of the BlackBerry customers,” he said.
Other than that, the double protection as in official guarantee and Expro insurance, which cover damages and losses, have given a large contribution to the high number of costumers. The after sales service spreading at 17 locations in 9 cities through XL Xperience Land and a special service of XL Mall is an additional service for the Indonesian costumers.
