Axis Sponsors Spain's Real Madrid

Within the next four seasons, STC will have 12-minute slots for TV commercials.

VIVAnews - Saudi Telecom Company (STC), the ultimate shareholder of Indonesian telecommunication company Axis by 51 percent, signed a partnership deal with a Spain's football club Real Madrid.

The signing was carried out by STC Chairman Muhammad Al Jasser and Real Madrid President Florentino Perez.

Two Real Madrid stars, Christiano Ronaldo and Mohamodou Diarra as well as STC Group CEO Saud Al Daweesh and Saudi Arabian Ambassador to Spain Prince Saud ibn Nayef Al Saud witnessed the process.

As noted in the press release sent by Axis on Nov 24, the agreement was aimed at reinforcing the promotion of STC cellular products including in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain and Indonesia.

Within the next four seasons, STC will have 12-minute slots for TV commercials in every Real Madrid match broadcasted in the said countries.

As reported, STC has been registered in the Guinness Book of World Records as the one and only company which sponsors 12 clubs in a football league through its partnership with all top soccer clubs in Saudi Arabia.
