VIVAnews - Asia Pacific Breweries Limited acquired PT Multi Bintang Indonesia (MLBI).
The process was attached in a share purchase agreement concerning the acquisition of 13,716,570 common stock or around 65.1 percent of issued and paid-up capital of Multi Bintang.
The deal was signed today, Dec 7, between Breweries Limited and Heineken International BV. Heineken is the majority shareholder of Multi Bintang with 75 percent of ownership as per October 31, 2009, said Asia Pacific Breweries Limited Roland Firmez as quoted from public disclosure issued in the Indonesia stock exchange on Monday, Dec 7.
In addition to acquiring the majority of shares, Asia Pacific Breweries Limited also takes control of 723,120 depository receipts of Multi Bintang that Hollandsch Administratiekantoor BV issued representing 3.4 percent of issued and paid-up capital.
"The initial transaction values Rp 2,23 trillion. The final price will adjust the closing transaction," he said.
Firmez said the final price of Multi Bintang share will be announced publicly two days prior to the acquisition.
The gain will be official after the authority in Indonesia and Asia Pacific shareholder passes their approval.
