VIVAnews – The completion of the power plant construction which is included in the first phase of the 10,000-megawatt power plant acceleration project will be delayed until 2013 despite the initial plan in 2012.
Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Darwin Zahedy Saled said that the delay was caused by financing and land acquisition problems.
“However, most of the power plant will be operated in 2011 and 2012,” said Saleh in Jakarta on Friday, Dec. 11.
He gave example on the construction of Labuan steam-based power plant which required 600 hectares of land acquisition that took long time.
Saleh said the project will be completed up to 48 percent in 2010.
Based on the state power company PLN’s prospectus, the acceleration program of the 10,000-megawatt power plant construction is expected to be fully operated in 2010 and end in 2012.
