VIVAnews - Bank of China (BOC) grants loan facility to Tanjung Awar-awar steam-based power plant (PLTU), Tuban, East Java, by US$371 million.

According to state electricity company PLN Managing Director Fahmi Mochtar, the deal will be signed today. "The facility will have 13 years of tenure and a three-year interval," he said on Monday, Dec 14.

The financing will cover 10 spots in Java and Bali ad 23 spots outside of Java and Bali. "The remaining spots are in Maluku and Papua, which are still in a re-tender process," said Fahmi.

The signing, said Fahmi, completes the financing of the 10,000 MW steam-based power plant project of US$4.93 billion and Rp 19.61 trillion.

Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) also participates in the financing of other steam-based power plants in West Kalimantan, Bengkalis, Selat Panjang and Balai Karimun (the later three are located in Riau).
