VIVAnews - Downstream Oil and Gas Regulator (BPH Migas) will officially appoint PT Petronas Niaga Indonesia and PT Aneka Kimia Raya Coorporindo Tbk (AKR) as the partners of PT Pertamina as the distributor of subsidized fuel oil/ PSO 2010 on December 21.

According to BPH Migas Head Tubagus Haryono, his team is currently verifying the infrastructure readiness of AKR and Petronas after the preparation stage met the deadline yesterday, December 14.

“Today, the entire verification team will go on-site. If they are still not ready, we won’t tolerate that,” Haryono told VIVAnews over the phone on Tuesday, December 15.

He also said the team would be conducting verifications until December  12 in North Sumatra, Lampung, West Kalimantan and South Kalimantan. “Verifications take time because the locations vary, including remote areas,” he said.

Meanwhile, the assignment letter for Pertamina and accompanying companies (BU) is planned to be given on December 28.

Earlier, BPH Migas declared three companies as Pertamina’s future partners in BBM PSO distribution auction. They are Shell, Petronas and Aneka Kimia Raya Corporindo.

Later, Shell resigned from its position leaving only Petronas and AKR in the running. In BBM 2010 distribution, Petronas, Shell and AKR will each be assigned outside Java as Diesel Fuel Agent (APMS).

BPH Migas set December 14, 2009 as the deadline for Petronas and AKR to complete the requirements, especially the distribution infrastructures.
