VIVAnews - Total E&P Indonesie will likely extend its oil exploration contract in East Kalimantan. The intention was delivered to Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono during the Climate Change Summit in Copenhagen, Denmark, last week.
Industry Minister MS Hidayat said the France-based company has an interest in renewing the production sharing contract in Indonesia, which will end in 2010. "They have been exploring in Indonesia for 20 years and are willing to extend [the contract]," said Hidayat on Monday, Dec 21.
In addition, Total would ask state oil and gas company Pertamina for a partnership.
