VIVAnews - The delegations of US investors under the US-ASEAN Business Council met Indonesian Vice President Boediono today, Jan 26, in an effort to step up long-term partnership with Indonesia especially on the economic sector.
US-ASEAN Business Council President Alexander Feldman said Mr Vice President has clearly stated about the country's priority to build infrastructures.
"We're discussing about such physical infrastructures as highways, harbors, health facilities and internet networks," said Feldman.
However, Feldman stressed that the discussion has yet to touch on funding and investment issues. "We're just talking matters in general. But we're expecting of having further discussions on how the facilitation would be," he said.
The future visit of US President Barack Obama to Indonesia is expected to touch up the US-Indonesia cooperation.
"We're anticipating the historical moment of the US-Indonesia relations. This is the first time ever that an American president speaks Indonesian. Hopefully, the mutual efforts will be better," he said.
