VIVAnews - PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk (Telkom), through its subsidiary, PT Multimedia Nusantara (Metra) has just signed a Conditional Sales Purchase Agreement (CSPA) with PT Administrasi Media (AdMedika).

The agreement states that Telkom, through Metra, has acquired 75 percent of the company’s shares. Admedika is an electronic healthcare network company in Jakarta.

The CSPA was signed by Metra President Director Alex J Sinaga and AdMedika shareholders who were represented by Sofian Sutantio, Ravi Varna Kanason and Shia Kok Fat and witnessed by Telkom Director Rinaldi Firmansyah and Telkom IT & Supply Director Indra M Utoyo in Bandung. The 75-percent share possession allows Telkom to fully control AdMedika.

AdMedika, which was established on January 8, 2002, is currently the market leader. It owns 1.2 million members and 26 insurance companies, 717 hospitals, clinics and medical centers as its customers.

According to Telkom’s press release on Tuesday, January 26, 2010, AdMedika is owned 38 percent by PT Swadayanusa Kencana Raharja, 38 percent by Sofian Susantio, 19 percent by Ravi Varna Kanason and 5 percent by Shia Kok Fat.

The company’s decision, according to Firmansyah, aims to create InSureNet (Indonesia Insurance Shared Service Platform) as the initiator of national e-Health program.

“The acquisition is a strategic acquisition for Telkom regarding InSureNet initiative, especially for insurance sector, starting from IT infrastructure to support e-Health and the entire National e-Claim insurance,” Firmansyah said.

InSureNet is an online collaboration and transaction to increase the effectiveness, productivity and the quality of Insurance Institution’s services.

Moreover, InSureNet is determined to perform a synergy between state insurance companies and health service providers. Right now, five on-board companies are Taspen, Jamsostek, Akses, Jasa Raharja and Asabri.

InSureNet will be gradually developed. Currently, the collective participation data is still being worked on.
