VIVAnews - Conde Nast Traveler (a travel magazine published by the United States) in 2009 has conducted an assessment of tourist locations in Asia. The results announced at the travel magazine in the January 2010 edition put Ubud, Bali, as the most favorite tourist attraction in Asia surpassing 8 other Asia's wonders like Bangkok, Hong Kong, Chiangmai, Kyoto, Singapore, Shanghai, Jaipur and Tokyo
Ubud has given the world off-beat impressions due to the politeness shown by its people as well as its constant efforts in preseving its culture.
A notable figure from Ubud Tjokorda Raka Kerthiasa said he was surprised upon the award.
"This will become the trigger for the people of Ubud, including the government and business people, to improve," said Kerthiasa on Wednesday, Feb 3.
Earlier in 2009, the film Eat, Pray, Love (EPL) starred Julia Roberts had Ubud as its set.
