VIVAnews - The management of Borobudur Temple in Indonesia obliges every visitor wearing short pants and skirts to put on batik sarong in the temple area. However, the visitors are beginning to complain about the discomfort caused by the sarong.
PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur Prambanan and Ratu Boko as the management conceded that tourists are not in balance when moving about at the leveled temple. In addition, no body can be held responsible over any accident occurred due to the sarong-wearing.
"Many tourists conveyed their objection on the obligation to wear sarong. An evaluation should be conducted," Dedy Pranowo Eryanto, Chief of Public Relations Family of Yogyakarta said.
Despite the many complaints, Dedy stated the new policy is a promising breakthrough. Nonetheless, information as to why visitors are prohibitde from wearing short pants, skirts and shoes should be circulated.
"Anyway, it's still on trial," he said.
