VIVAnews - Jakarta will likely be the venue of movie festival the Jakarta International Movie Fair following the success of the annual Jakarta International Film Festival that has been held in years.
The event is expected to take place by 2011.
"For the time being, the plan is being outlined. I don't want to provide much information. But clearly, Governor Fauzi Bowo came up with the idea," said Yenny Rachman, Chairperson of the Indonesian Movie Actors and Actresses Association as quoted from the Jakarta administration's official webpage on Tuesday, Feb 9.
Yenny said the Jakarta International Movie Fair will host seminars, provide film market, and hold movie contest.
"The form resembles the Indonesia Film Festival. However, international participation is possible," she said.
