VIVAnews - Industry Minister MS Hidayat wanted banking to lift out the sunset industry in its credit disbursement priority.
"I want the sunset industry category to be removed," said Hidayat on Thursday, Feb 18.
Therefore, Hidayat will invite several business people in the industry to meet with Bank Indonesia on February 24 concerning their problems with banking.
"I'd like to have a presentation about the performance of the industrial sector categorized as sunset industry that must be revised such as in textile industry," he said.
In fact, said Hidayat, the textile industry otherwise plays an important role in securing the domestic market.
Hidayat said one of the hurdles in the textile industry is concerned with imported machineries. As a result, the Industry Ministry minimizes the dependence on imported machineries.
