VIVAnews - PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM) stated that it has yet to receive detail information on a plan outlined by the State Ministry of State-owned Enterprises (SOEs) to encourage the company and PT Tambang Batubara Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) to acquire 9.36 percent shares of PT Freeport Indonesia.

"We've yet to obtain detail information concerning the plan," said Aneka Tambang Corporate Secretary Bimo Budi Satriyo on Tuesday, March 9.

According to him, Aneka Tambang will evaluate every potential investment which is in line with the company's core business.

Earlier, the Ministry of State-owned Enterprises will pull for the SOEs on mining like Aneka Tambang and Bukit Asam to acquire shares of Freeport Indonesia if the gold mining company opens way for a share acquisition.

However, up until today, the government's plan to go for Freeport shares still requires further analysis.

Minister of SOEs Mustafa Abubakar said in his office on Friday, March 5, that if only the government decides to buy Freeport shares, it would give way to related SOEs to invest in the company.
