VIVAnews - The Rupiah exchange rate in the Jakarta interbank spot market is stagnant against US dollar during the opening trading today, March 11 at IDR9,165-IDR9,175 against US dollar.
In the closing of Wednesday trading, March 10, the local currency's final value was at IDR9,165-IDR9,175 against US dollar.
According to Frans Darwin Sinurat, a foreign exchange dealer of PT Bank Mutiara Tbk, the swings in the global and regional currencies against US dollar have likely triggered the Rupiah to remain stagnant.
"It's still at the level of IDR9,165-IDR9,175 against US dollar," he told VIVAnews on Thursday, March 11.
Frans went on to say that the positive movement of the Rupiah against US dollar is seen by investors as disturbing the industry. "They're against the appreciation of the Rupiah," he said.
