VIVAnews - The journey of terrorist leader, Dulmatin came to an end at Multiplus Internet Café in Pamulang. According to the police, Dulmatin had to be shot down because he was fighting back using a revolver.

Not only in Indonesia, Dulmatin had also become a fugitive in the US, Australia and the Philippines, which enlisted the genius guy in the most wanted list.

The following are interesting facts about Dulmatin:

•    Dulmatin was a senior in the terrorist group Jamaah Islamiyah. He was believed to have helped the masterminds behind the 2002 Bali Bombing that killed 202 people.

•    Dulmatin was born in Petarukan village, Petarukan sub district, Pemalang on June 6,1970. He was almost 40 years old when he died.

•    Dulmatin often used aliases to avoid raids. The names include Joko Pitono, Noval, Joko Pitoyo, Abdul Matin, Pitono, Muktamar and Djoko. His family knows him as Amar Usmanan. One of his last aliases—which finally brought him to death—was Muhammad Yahya. Among the members of Jamaah Islamiyah, he was also known as ‘the genius’.

•    The US government offers US$ 10 million or IDR93 billion for those who could give any information leading to his detainment. The country describes Dulmatin as a bomb-assembling specialist who participated in training at the Al Qaeda camp in Afghanistan.

•    Attempting to run away from the authorities, Dulmatin went to South Philippines in 2003 to seek protection from the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF). However, it all began to diminish when MILF started negotiating about reconciliation with the government in Manila. Dulmatin later turned to the group Abu Sayyaf—which is allegedly affiliated with the Al Qaeda in Jolo.

•    Philippine authorities believe Dulmatin trained military members in bomb assembly. He supposedly planned attacks to South Philippines while increasing contacts with his colleagues in Indonesia through the Internet.

•    Dulmatin was possibly injured in an armed battle between the military and the Philippines army in Jolo. His four children were found in the battlefield. Dulmatin’s wife later brought them back to Indonesia.

•    Dulmatin had six kids from his marriage with Istiadah. The youngest one, Nusaibah, was born in Mindanao on October 10, 2003.

•    In 2008, the Philippine authorities discovered the death body of a guy, who was suspected to be Dulmatin. In the end, it was proven to be wrong.
