VIVAnews - PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk (Telkom) will in no time launch e-commerce which aims at helping businesspeople market their business online through Multimedia Nusantara (Metra) as the subsidiary as well as setting up business service division.
The business service division is specialized at taking care of small- and medium-sized enterprises. Telkom will in this segment offer various solutions to improve business management through the perfect application of information and communication technology (ICT).
On the software side, a number of cloud computing applications are ready among which e-UKM and cooperatives services are included.
"We're teaming up with business players to boost competitiveness in an effort to gain supremacy in the global market," said DBS Telkom Executive General Manager, Slamet Riyadi, on Wednesday, March 17.
Slamet also claimed that the growth in the ICT expenditure on UKM segment is predicted to rise 22 percent. The possibility is encouraged by the urgent needs for business efficiency through the ICT.
As reported earlier, having Mojopia as local company, Telkom will foster e-commerce industry and content aggregation to enable interconnectivity between UKM players in business transactions.
