VIVAnews - State gas company PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGN) stated that the lack of gas supply is the result of the decreasing supply from Conoco Philips.
"Conoco Philips is bound to the supply contract to PGN by 396 MMSCFD. But now it only channels 250 MMSCFD," said PGN Managing Director Hendi Prio Santoso on Thursday, March 18.
Hendi expected that prior to April 1, the solution over the gas shortage will have been formulated.
Meanwhile, Director General of Oil and Gas at the Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry, Evita Herawati Legowo, said the government is trying to minimize the lack of gas supply.
"We're mapping the best solution," she said.
According to Evita, the lack of supply is not caused by additional export to Singapore but the idle gas field.
