VIVAnews - The annual general meeting of shareholders of PT XL Axiata Tbk (EXCL) signs off on the increase in the company's capital to IDR850 billion (US$93.4 million) from the previous IDR709 billion.
Concerning the issue, the meeting decided to cancel the dividend payment for the 2009 fiscal year.
"The dividend payment for the 2009 fiscal year won't be paid," said Hasnul Suhaimi, XL Axiata Managing Director, today, March 19, in Jakarta.
The meeting also agreed receive the resignation proposal of Joris de Fretes as the corporate service director.
"He feels that it's time to be together again with the family because Pak Joris has been with us for seven years," he said.
XL Axiata booked net profit by IDR1.7 trillion (US$186.9 million) in 2009. The profit highly multiplied after the losses in 2008 at IDR15.1 billion.
The gross business income reached IDR13.87 trillion or a 14.1 percent increase compared to the previous IDR12.15 trillion.
During the period, XL recorded profit of IDR2.46 trillion compared to the previous IDR1.75 trillion.
XL Axiata's assets up until December 2009 reached IDR27.38 trillion with a liability of IDR18.57 trillion.
