Four Infrastructure Projects Offered US$5.3 B

The costs for the coal train project may increase by US$500 million.

VIVAnews - Four new projects under the public private partnership will be offered by the National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas) and are worth US$5.32 billion.

Director of public private partnership from Bappenas, Bastary Pandji Indra said one of the said projects has already been put to tender, Power Plant Central Java that is, worth US$3 billion. Three other projects are still under pre-qualifying phase.
 
The three projects are coal train in Central Kalimantan (US$1.5 billion), Umbulan Water Supply in East Java (US$200 million), and Waste to Energy Bandung in West Java (US$120 million).
 
"The pre-qualifying result will likely be announced in May 2010," said Bastary on Thursday, April 8. Total investment for the three projects is US$1.82 billion.

However, Bastary said, the costs for the coal train project may increase by US$500 million.
