VIVAnews - The Indonesian government seriously anticipates the debt crisis in Europe. Within the last two weeks, the Ministry of Finance and Bank Indonesia have held two meetings on the issue.
Finance Minister, Agus Martowardojo, said the meetings are intended to anticipate the impact of the Greece debt crisis. "We're anticipating [the crisis]. Therefore, coordination with Bank Indonesia is needed," said Agus in the Parliamentary complex in Jakarta, June 2.
The preparation, he said, includes talks on protocol management as regards crisis handling.
The Ministry of Finance and Bank Indonesia have revised the MoU serving as early detection if future crisis appears.
According to Agus, the Draftbill on Financial System Safety Net has been delivered to the lawmakers. The government expected that the House of Representatives (DPR) can set up a time to discuss the draftbill.
