VIVAnews - IDF is a regular festival in every two years since 1992. It is an independent festival in cooperation with Performing Arts Faculty of Jakarta Institute of the Arts (IKJ).
IDF is a meeting place where dance groups and choreographers from different orientations and cultures gather together to show, to rehearse, and to create new works or even to exchange new ideas.
IDF is a collaborative place among national and international dancers and choreographers to work together to exchange innovation ideas based on their traditions and cultures.
The 10th Indonesian Dance Festival will be held on June 14th - 17th, 2010, in Taman Ismail Marzuki complex.
The IDF will feature Muslimin Bagus Pranowo (Indonesia), Asri Meri Widowati (IKJ Dance Company/Indonesia), Siti Ajeng Soelaiman, Andara Firman Moeis, Fitry Setyaningsih (Indonesia), Eko Supriyanto (Indonesia), Jecko Siompo (Indonesia), Kim Jae Duck Project (South Korea), Contact Gonzo (Japan), Meg Stuart & Philipp Gehmacher (Germany), Taipei Cross Over Dance Company (Taiwan), Taipei University of the Arts (Taiwan) and Vincet Mantsoe (South Afrika).
