VIVAnews - Governor of Jakarta administration Fauzi Bowo said more green areas in Jakarta will be prepared. In addition to relocating hawkers and fuel stations, schools will also be removed from green spots.
"We'll be continuing to make available more open public spaces. A number of fuel stations have been removed. If there are schools sitting on green belts, they will be relocated," said Fauzi Bowo yesterday, June 13, as he officiated Langsat Park, which is designed for elders, in South Jakarta.
The Jakarta governor said the plan will be materialized to meet the growing needs of the Jakartans for green spaces.
Fauzi guaranteed that there will be no more green spaces modified into public facilities, buildings, or commercialized green spaces.
He said the development of Langsat Park is in line with the increasing growth of elders every year.
