VIVAnews - The improving production of fresh fruit bunch produced in June 2010 helped rise crude palm oil production of PT Astra Agro Lestari Tbk by 92,319 tons compared to the previous months of 2010.
However, based on data of the company's Investor Bulletin of July edition, 2010, Astra Agro's CPO production in total (January-June 2010) of 470,993 tons is still lower 5.7 percent compared to the same period of 2009.
Meanwhile, the overall production of fresh fruit bunch up until June 2010 reached 1.82 million tons, 8.3 percent decrease compared to the same period of last year. The average yield of the production reached 8.59 ton per hectare, 14.1 percent drop compared to last year.
Based on the data, the fresh fruit bunch production in five months along 2010 was mostly earned from Sumatra at 41.9 percent. Meanwhile, the production in Kalimantan reached 36.2 percent while Sulawesi was at 21.9 percent.
The FFB production in Sumatra fell compared to 2009 which contributed around 46.3 percent. Nonetheless, in Sulawesi, the FFB production went up compared to the previous one at 20.8 percent.
