VIVAnews - The Jakarta benchmark index today gained as the Asian market opened positively during the early trading. Fine issuers' financial reports have also supported the rise in the index.

According to a research team from PT Mega Capital Indonesia, mid-term factor also triggered the increase in the stock prices as the index tried to hit 3,230.

However, lower consumer confidence in the United States could become a negative catalyst for the index in this morning's trading.

Mega Capital projected that the index was at 3,020/3,005 at support and 3,060/3,080 at resistance.

The Jakarta index slightly earned 6.36 points (0.21 percent) at 3,048.03 this morning.

In the mean time, Shanghai Composite went up by 3.65 points (0.14 percent) at 2,579.02 and Nikkei 225 rose 178.62 points (1.88 percent) at 9,675.47.
