VIVAnews - The Indonesian Minister of Finance, National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas), and Capital Investment Coordinating Agency agreed to speed up better infrastructure development and investment climate.

The agreement reached between the three agencies is made as an attempt to build a public-private partnership. The deal is also aimed at advancing Indonesia's level to investment grade.

"We believe that the public-private partnership must be a part of the infrastructure acceleration," said Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Hatta Rajasa, in Jakarta today, August 18.

According to Hatta, the infrastructure development in Indonesia needs a financial support of at least Rp 1,900 trillion until 2014.

On the contrary, State Budget is only capable of supplying Rp 550-600 trillion of fund. Meanwhile, the capital expenditure prepared by State-owned Enterprises only reach Rp 1,300-1,400 trillion.

"Private fund is required to build infrastructures," said Hatta.

The MoU regulates issues on the coordination of facillitation between the government and enterprises in infrastructure development.
