VIVAnews - Malaysian citizens planning to travel to Indonesia are encouraged to avoid visiting the country unless urgent matters are there. However, this travel advisory is considered as having more impact toward Malaysia because more Indonesians are making trips to Malaysia.

"Malaysia will be mostly injured because the number of Indonesians visiting Malaysia is higher than the number of Malaysians visiting Indonesia," said Chief of Commission I of the House of Representatives (DPR) Mahfudz Siddiq.

Mahfudz regretted over protests conducted by Malaysia. "Should Malaysia attempt to maintain the relations, protests should be minimized," he said.

He viewed that border issues have been the triggers of conflicts involving both countries. Commission I expects that the Indonesian and Malaysian governments can settle the issues on the September 6 meeting in Kinabalu, Malaysia.

As reported, Malaysia are planning to issue a travel advisory to the Malaysian citizens planning to visit Indonesia following intensive anti-Malaysia protests in Indonesia.

Last Wednesday, the crowd from a mass organization Benteng Demokrasi Rakyat (Bendera) demonstrated before the offices of two Malaysian top companies in Jakarta Petronas and CIMB Bank.

The series of protests spark fury upon some organizations in Malaysia as the protests are likely to humiliate Malaysia.
