VIVAnews - The Agency of Public Works, Housing, Energy, and Mineral Resources of Yogyakarta, stated that those visiting the area must pay attention to the disaster-prone area in the coming 2010 Lebaran.
"There are 26 spots in Yogyakarta that are prone to accidents," said Rani Sjamsinarsi, spokesperson of the agency, today.
The said spots extend from Yogyakarta-Karangnongko, Yogyakarta-Tempel, Yogyakarta-Prambanan, Yogyakarta-Wonosari, to Jalan Arteri Utara (Gamping-Jombor-Maguwo) and Jalan Arteri Selatan (Purworejo-Bantul-Wonosari-Solo).
"The national road is not yet comfortable to use," he said.
The accident-prone road includes Gamping-Depok, Pasekan-Dawe, Kutu Dukuh Sinduadi, Denggung, Depok, Mantub Potorono, Patuk, Kronggahan junction, and Dongkelan junction.
Meanwhile, Chief of Transportation, Communication and Information Agency of Yogyakarta, Cipto Hariwibowo, said the agency will deploy 800 personnel to assure that the Lebaran traffic will be fine.
