Indonesia contributes 12 percent of total 90 million tweets per month in September of 2010. It means that the archipelago records around 10.8 million tweets per day.
Indonesia also becomes the only country in Southeast Asia that mostly gains access to Twitter surpassing India, the United Kingdom, Germany, South Korea, Mexico, and Canada.
The number one Twitter users are those accessing the microblogging site from the United States at more than 35 percent of total percentage. Launched in March 2006, today the site has more than 190 million users worldwide.
