VIVAnews – Independent candidates of Jakarta governor and deputy governor, Faisal Basri-Biem Benyamin, will submit their votes for Jakarta’s local election on July 11, 2012. The list of supports will be delivered on Saturday, Feb 11.
“There might be a number of people that will accompany us,” said a member of Faisal-Biem’s success team, Azwar, in Jakarta, today.
These independent candidates chose Saturday because at the moment their team is still preparing the data of supporters.
Until late last month, there were 540 thousand Jakarta supporters collected, and the number continues to grow.
“For the next stage, we have received around 10-20 thousand supporters. But we will deliver that data later,” he said.
Starting from today, Jakarta’s Electoral Committee officially opens the document submission of candidates who wanted to become governor and deputy governor independently.
