VIVAnews - Flood still hits Pekalongan, Central Java. It has as a result caused losses to batik entrepreneurs of up to hundreds of millions of rupiah.
Center of batik entrepreneurs in Tirto Subdistrict has completely ceased operation. Most inhabitants depending much on batik industry have been laid off or are at least temporarily have nothing to do.
"All batik materials are inundated by the flood. In fact, some tools used for making batik patterns are ruined," said Rusma, a batik entrepreneur, on Tuesday, Feb 10.
Due to the flood, batik production is being suspended. "It causes us losses of up to hundreds of millions of rupiah," said Rusma
