VIVAnews - Cebolang Minggat (Runaway Cebolang) is one of the fragments in classic masterpiece of Javanese literature 'Serat Centhini' ('The Book of Centhini' - which has been recomposed into French by writer and journalist Elisabeth D Inandiak).
The story centers on a mischievous child named Cebolang, son to Sheikh Akhadiyat, who leaves home and is into a journey to seek his true identity.
During the adventure, he happens to see indecency and moral bankruptcy. He then fornicates with a widow ronggeng dancer and a reog dancer. However, the story is also concerned with a search for Divinity, especially a part when Cebolang encounters Gatoloco as well as an ascetic who tells a story about Dewa Ruci.
The journey stresses an idea that beyond human's decline into despair, human will find his/her existence.
Kondo M puppet show conveys an idea that humans have natural protection against life's uncontrolled nature. Visually, the puppet show uses condom, which is formed into puppet.
The puppet show will be performed by Wayang Suket Community (Surakarta, Central Java) with Slamet Gundono acts as the puppet master.
