VIVAnews - 'Sumber Cipta Ballet' presents Dr Coppelius the Toy Maker ('Dr. Coppelius si Pembuat Boneka') dance performance.
Sumber Cipta Ballet is specially prepared for children. The performers are children and teens. During the performance, the students of Sumber Cipta Ballet will also perform a dance "The Letter" choreographed by Yusdistira Syuman.
Synopsis:
Dr Coppelius is a master in puppet creation. In his home, human-sized puppets are displayed everywhere. It occurs to him that he is capable of making puppets which closely resemble humans.
One day, a group of school students enter his house and find out that the people wearing odd clothes are actually puppets. When the children are enjoying their time playing around, Dr Coppelius appears all of a sudden and shooed the children out of his home.
Three of the school children enter the place where the puppets are kept and remain there. Dr Coppelius grasps his magic book and tries to give life to the puppets. The three school children obey Dr Coppelius. However, Dr Coppelius is aware that he has been fooled by the school children. He finally realizes that his puppets had never come to life.
