VIVAnews - The Jakarta administration is requesting the Finance and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) to re-assess the investment value of PT Jakarta Monorel's project.

“We have not yet made the figure because BPKP has not been able to calculate the construction fees”, Governor of Jakarta Fauzi Bowo said at the City Hall, Wednesday, May 13.

BPKP representative Edi Mulyadi said the auditing not only deals with accounting. A technical evaluation is also required. That is why BPKP will also include experts in the re-assessment team.

Mulyadi does not set any target in completing the auditing processes because the technical analysis and data collection require comprehensive coordination. “Auditing takes a long time. It is different from accounting processes”, he said.

The Jakarta Monorail project has been halted due to funding problems. PT Jakarta Monorel later demanded that the Jakarta administration compensate for the investment. The investment included the construction of the concrete piles.
