VIVAnews - PT Indofarma Tbk. (INAF) targets export sales worth Rp 20-30 billion (US$1.98-2.97 million) in 2009. Previously, the state pharmaceutical enterprise has never export its products.
"The export development will help us anticipate the impact of the currency disparity," said Indofarma President Director P. Sudibyo on Thursday, June 4.
He added that the exports in 2009 are expected to reach five percent of the company's total sales. Meanwhile, domestic sales are expected to hit Rp 600 billion.
In 2008, the company's net profit was reduced by exchange rate disparity worth around Rp 17 billion.
