VIVAnews - The House of Representatives (DPR) Commission IX Head Ribka Tjiptaning said the Draft Bill on Nurse will still be prepared.

"We do care with the draft bill. We will continue encourage the preparation of the draft bill," she said on Monday, June 8.

Tjiptaning claimed the bureaucracy applied in the parliament had hampered the preparation.

She said the bill is still on the desk of the DPR Legislative Board.

"It remains unclear whether or not the Commission IX will prepare the bill," she said.

Ribka said the Draft Bill on Nurse is further improved than Draft Bill on Health, which is being discussed in the parliament.

Of 139 proposed bills, the Draft Bill on Nurse is considered among 25 prioritized bills.

Around a thousand nurses went on demonstration before the parliamentary building today. They deemed the preparation of the draft bill has lacked speed. They urged that DPR passes the draft this year.
