VIVAnews - Megawati Soekarnoputri, presidential candidate from the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) and the Great Indonesia's Movement Party (Gerindra) said the House of Representatives (DPR) must be able to prioritize the completion of Corruption Court Draft Bill (RUU Tipikor) which is supposed to be made up in September 2009.
According to Megawati, if DPR is indeed well-prepared, it should be able to complete the Bill right on time, which will bring good impacts.
“If apparently DPR is not able to do that, improvements are required”, she said during a presidential candidates debate titled “The Strategy of Realizing a Clean Government and Reinforcing Law Supremacy” in Jakarta on Thursday, June 18.
Megawati also suggested DPR to draw schedules in preparing and issuing a law.
“So, it won't just become a target. It will also become a list of things that are prioritized “, she said.
