VIVAnews - The Indonesian Survey Agency (LSI) found the electability of vice presidential candidate Jusuf Kalla (JK) has improved while Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono’s (SBY) has declined. According to LSI Executive Director, Saiful Mujani, JK’s improving electability was due to the good campaign.
“Based on the intensity of the campaign, we can tell that there is an improving judgment”, Mujani said during the presentation of survey results at the Sari Pan Pacific Hotel in Jakarta on Wednesday, June 24.
“Positive responses from the people are also because of the presentation of good materials in the media,” he said.
JK’s advertisements are good and attractive. The analyses of JK in the media are also great.
“The exposure of JK in the media are more positive than SBY’s,” Mujani said.
“I think, most of the attentions given to JK are from the media. JK is considered as capable of giving alternatives and new hope to the new administration,” he claimed.
However, Mujani could not conclude that SBY had lost his votes to JK.
“I can’t answer that. I can only analyze the content of media campaign and advertisements,” he said.
Based on LSI’s survey, the trend of votes for SBY is as follows:
- April 27, 2009, 75 percent;
- May 3, 2009, 73 percent;
