VIVAnews - English Premier League champion of the 2008-2009 season Manchester United (MU) plans to visit Jakarta, Indonesia, and will play against the national team in the country's largest football stadium Gelora Bung Karno, Senayan, Jakarta.

In fact, in addition to its popularity as the best pitch the nation ever has, the stadium is often used as a campaign venue during the elections period.

With regard to the MU's plan, presidential candidate Jusuf Kalla said he had cancelled a plan to have Bung Karno stadium as his campaign spot. He claimed that a fear of having ruined the stadium's grass is his greatest concern.

"We do not want to see the grass planted in Senayan is damaged," Kalla said on Thursday, July 2.

Kalla also stated that choosing Senayan as the campaign venue would cause the center of Jakarta, the country's economic hub, to experience serious traffic jam.
