VIVAnews - The Upstream Oil and Gas Regulator (BP Migas) and the state aviation company PT Dirgantara Indonesia (DI) have signed an agreement on the optimization of airplanes and helicopters utilization and maintenance.
Other than that, the agreement also includes education, assistance, and other services to fulfil the national upstream oil and gas activities' needs.
This agreement was signed by PT Dirgantara Indonesia Managing Director Budi Santoso and BP Migas Head R. Priyono in Bandung on Friday, July 3.
According to Priyono, the aviation activity for upstream oil and gas operational activities reached 20,000 hours in 2008. Fifty-one percent of that number used helicopters (rotary wing) and 49 percent used (fixed wing) with the total number of passengers reaching more than 30,000 people.
