VIVAnews - There were at least seven mentally ill people, 179 deceased, 90 double names, 27 migrant workers, 43 migrated people, and 11 active police officers listed in the final list of voters (DPT) for the presidential election that will be held on July 8.
The data was found by the Bantul election supervisory commission.
"An investigation into 75 polling stations shows that there were hundreds of invalid voters. We have redirected the problems to the Election Commission but they insisted not to revise the final list of voters," said Herlina, a member of the Election Supervisory Committee in Bantul on Monday, July 6.
Herlina explained that the data was collected through an investigation made by the DPT field and sub-district supervisory committee in several sub-districts such as Bantul, Sewon, Jetis, Imogiri, Pundong, Kretek, Bambanglipuro, Sanden, Srandakan, Pandak, Pajangan, Sedayu, Kasihan, Banguntapan, Pleret, Piyungan and Dlingo.
"Most likely, the number of erroneous DPT will increase if we have taken more samples from more polling stations," he said.
