Despite the sales increase, there was also an escalation in main sales expenses from Rp 1.35 trillion to Rp 1.49 trillion. But, the escalation did not prevent the gross profit from rising to Rp 858.77 billion from the previous Rp 698.42 billion.
According to the company’s financial report published in Jakarta on Friday, July 31, operating expenses have been managed to be lowered to Rp 356.06 billion from Rp 371.02 billion.
The decrease could also raise the company’s operating profit to Rp 502.71 billion from Rp 327.39 billion.
However, the rise of interest and financial expenses to Rp 231.6 billion from Rp 57.8 billion has also triggered the net profit decrease. The company also noted a separate cash expenses of Rp 43.34 billion and a goodwill amortization of Rp 4.83 billion.
But, during the period, the company accounted a profit rate disparity of Rp 149.79 billion from the previous Rp 67.38 billion. The interest earnings also went up to Rp 15.62 billion from Rp 6.74 billion during the same period in 2008.
