VIVAnews - The number of Indonesians infected with swine flu is increasing. Based on data from the Department of Health, 662 people are swine flu positive up until Wednesday, August 5, in the archipelago.
"(They comprise) 354 men and 298 women," said Director General of Disease Control and Environment Health at the Department of Health, Tjandra Yoga Aditama, today.
As for today, the Department reported that 43 more people have been infected by the virus.
Of the infected hundreds, two of them were dead. "The first victim was a foreign man of 55 years of age, who died on August 2. He was admitted to hospital due to cough and fever. The patient died of severe pneumonia," said Tjandra.
The second victim, he said, was an Indonesian baby of two years of age who passed away on August 3.
