VIVAnews - Chief of Capital Investment Coordinating Agency (BKPM) M Lutfi viewed that Indonesia has mistakenly applied basic principle in setting up infrastructures in Indonesia.
"There is something wrong with our infrastructures," said Lutfi on Tuesday, October 6, adding that it is mainly concerned with electricity supply.
"When we talk about infrastructure development, the question is that whether we should build road, airport or power plant in the first place," he said.
According to Lutfi, human transportation will not be profitable, on the contrary to goods transportation. "Java-Madura-Bali are yet inter-connected. We must develop more power plants," he said.
He acknowledged that eastern Indonesia is the main priority for the government to build power plants.
Data from BKPM showed that Indonesia requires electricity supply by 29.885 megawatt.
Without sufficient power supply, Indonesia's exports only depend on human resources.
