VIVAnews – There has been a rumor that one of Indonesian mass organizations, Benteng Demokrasi Rakyat (Bendera), will launch an attack to Malaysia. It is said that they will deploy 1,500 people to execute the plan.

Bendera’s coordinator Mustar Bona Ventura confirmed the rumor and stated that the 1,500 people will be sent to Malaysia, arming themselves with bambu runcing (sharp bamboo, a weapon commonly used during the colonial period in Indonesia before its independence over the Dutch). “Yes, it [the plan] is true. Why? We don’t have guns, guns only for soldiers, who refuse to use it to fight for the country,” he added.

Ventura explained that their demand of an apology from the Malaysian government does not only concern cultural issues. “Don’t over simplify the issues, there are bigger matters. Our migrant workers, those who died every day in Malaysia, and the island [territorial] issues. Those are far more important,” he said.

Asked for confirmation when Bendera will launch their attack, Ventura said that they will announce the time later.

Meanwhile, the Malaysian National Security Council secretary Mohamed Tajudeen Abdul Wahab stated that they will not give a chance to groups that may disturb the security in Malaysia. “We consider this group is made of irrational people who are trapped in illogical rhetoric,” he added.
