VIVAnews – PT Semen Gresik (SMGR) predicts that the company’s net profit during January until September 2009 or the third quarter will increase 20 percent if compared to the profit in the same period last year.
In the third quarter of 2008, the company booked a Rp 8.79 trillion income and Rp 1.79 trillion net profit.
“The bottom line is approximately above 20 percent,” said Semen Gresik’s president director Dwi Soetjipto in Jakarta on Tuesday, Oct. 13.
According to Soetjipto, the company’s financial performance is still doing well until the third quarter of 2009. Despite the growth, the company’s income is still lower if compared to the income in the same period in 2008 when the cement price was still high.
Soetjipto did not elaborate the income value received in the third quarter. The company is targeting three million tons sale in the end of the year.
